CropDen is a free web tool that crops and resizes images to the exact size a platform expects: Instagram posts and stories, YouTube banners, Facebook covers, X headers, LinkedIn and Discord banners, TikTok, passport photos and any aspect ratio. It runs in your browser, needs no account and adds no watermark. Paid plans only add bigger batches, bigger files and ZIP downloads.
Who it's for
People who need an image at a specific size and don't want a design app for it: creators updating a banner, sellers preparing product photos, anyone making a passport or visa photo, and people resizing a folder of images for one platform. If you need text, templates or layers, a design tool such as Canva or Adobe Express is the better fit; CropDen only frames and resizes.
How it works
When you drop an image, your browser opens it and does the cropping, resizing and compression on your own device. The image is never uploaded to a server, and we never see it. That's also why CropDen is fast: there's no upload or download wait, only the time your device needs to process the file.
Each size page shows the platform's overlays on your image: which part a phone shows, where the profile photo covers a banner, where a story's buttons sit. You drag and zoom until the important part is clear, then download a file at the exact pixel size. Where a platform caps the file size, the export is kept under the cap.
Where the sizes come from
- Platform documentation first. Pixel sizes, file limits and formats come from each platform's help center or design template, for example YouTube's channel art template, Instagram's Help Center and the US State Department's photo rules.
- Measured when there's no documentation. Some things platforms don't publish, such as where Instagram draws a story's reply bar or where LinkedIn places your profile photo. We measure those from the live apps and mark them approx. on the image, because they move between app versions and phones.
- Consistent guides where platforms are vague. For a few marketplace and social sizes, platforms give a range or no number. There we list only what current guides agree on and leave out the rest.
Every size page shows the month its numbers were last checked. We re-check every page at least once a quarter and whenever a platform announces a change, and the page title follows the year of the last check.

What CropDen doesn't do
- No design editor: no text, stickers, templates or layers.
- No AI features yet, including background removal. The passport tool needs a photo already taken against a white wall.
- No face detection. Batch cropping keeps the center or the top of each image, and you can adjust any image by hand.
- Still images only, no video.
- No app to install, and no cloud storage: nothing is kept after you close the page.
